Phone verification API pricing
TextKit Verify costs $0.025 per successful verification, and nothing for attempts that never verify. Wrong codes, expired codes, abandoned flows and attempts our fraud checks block are free. A verification is charged once, whichever channels its codes went out on (text, or email as a fallback).
What you pay for
| Price | |
|---|---|
| A code that is verified | $0.025 |
| A wrong, expired or abandoned code | Free |
| An attempt blocked by our fraud checks | Free |
| Sending the code by email instead of a text | Included in the one charge |
| A phone number to send from | Not needed |
Every response tells you whether it was charged (charged).
What a month costs
The charge depends only on how many codes are verified, not on how many you send:
| Verified a month | Cost |
|---|---|
| 1,000 | $25.00 |
| 10,000 | $250.00 |
| 100,000 | $2500.00 |
A user who asks for a second code and then verifies is one verification.
Rules we enforce for you
| Code lifetime | 10 minutes |
| Check attempts | 5, then the code is dead |
| Resend cooldown | 60 seconds per number |
| Per number | 5 an hour, 10 a day, counted per account |
These limits stop code-pumping fraud before it reaches your bill. Attempts they block are free.
Free to start
10 verifications a month on the free tier, and unlimited verifications in the sandbox with a test key.
How it works
Two calls: POST /v1/verify sends the code, POST /v1/verify/check
checks it. Codes last 10 minutes and allow 5 attempts; we rate-limit per
number for you. The Verify docs have the whole integration, and
the migration guide maps another provider's verify calls to these, one by one.
Before you verify real users
A live key needs a live account. An account goes live when the carriers verify its toll-free number (see toll-free verification), usually in 3 to 7 business days. Build and test with a test key until then.
Sending your own texts too? See SMS pricing.
